    Description

    This is a fine Congressional Philippine Insurrection Medal of 1899 Medal that remains in excellent condition. The planchet is beautifully struck, exhibits crisp detail, and is with an attractive age toned patina. The rim is incised with the number, “No.7528”. Beautifully hand engraved on either side of the number is, “FOR EXHIBITION” “PURPOSES ONLY”. It is suspended from the original ribbon which remains strong, solid and is lightly faded. The medal is mounted on a full wrap broach that is with functional pin and open catch assemblies. A very attractive example that in excellent, undamaged condition.
