    Description

    6 - 38 Short Colt snap caps
    This auction is for a set of 6 - 38 Short Colt Snap Caps.  These are capped with lead RN bullets.  These will also fit 38 Long Colt, 38 Special, and 357 magnum chambers.  Even though these will fit in a chamber of a lever action 38 Special Rifle, they may not cycle properly as they are quite a bit shorter.  These will work fine in a revolver.
    These snap caps contain no powder, or primers.  They cannot fire, nor can they ever be made to fire.
    Unlike plastic or one-piece metal snap caps, these brass snap caps look and feel like they should.  The brass brands used may vary from those in the pictures.  These are new commercial casings that have been chemically and mechanically cleaned, sized, and had the primer pocket plugged, and then a bullet seated and crimped.  You can visually tell they are inert, as the primer pocket is plugged with a red poly.
